i have downloaded kit and face packs, put them in various locations, and they dont work, can someone help with the location address, and whether anything needs to be ticked in the preferences screen.

Once downloaded, open the facepack file in WinRar (or WinZip or whatever) and extract the files to:

CDocuments and Settings\Jasmine and Mark\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics

Usually the pack already includes the folder names and these are created for you under the graphics folder during the extraction.

FM2008>Options>Preferences>Display & Sound

Use skin cache - untick
Always reload skin on confirm - tick

Click Confirm
