Hey there,

I decided to join a Photoshop group (and chose this one) for all my problems with photoshop ^^'''
I'm currently using Photoshop CS3 and I decided to try something new : textures.
So here's what this tutorial told me to do : paste my texture in a new layer of my current document (and over the other layers.. meaning that it's the first layer), and use the blend mode overlay (I assume) to add the texture to the layer(s). Anyway.

So here's what I did. I put in a folder both the layer I wanted to have the texture applied on and the layer of the texture. (the texture being over the other one) Thing is, the overlay mode is grayed and I can't use it. I don't know why, the only clue I have is that the texture had a different mode when I added it to my document and it asked me if I wanted it to be changed in RGB I think... but I doubt that would actually be the problem.

I don't know if I wrote enough details... but I'll answer anything and I'll be pleased with attempts to help : )
thanks everyone ^^

Welcome! 8))

Contact Rachel Krech; she wrote it, she knows better than anyone else what your problem is without looking at the tutorial and if there's a mistake she has the opportunity to correct it so that others won't have to deal with the same mistake.
