Ok. Just need to get something of my chest.
Ive played good teams in the premiership, mediocre teams and small teams during the past week but it always came down to this:
- no matter how i design the tacticts i found it very hard to score goals. Even if I dominated the match ( 10 or 15 shots on target) no goals or 1 goal was made
- on the other hand, i conceeded 2 or 3 goals from from 4 or 5 goal attempts.
I acctualy found out I have a better chance of scoring (and winning) if i play very defensively with counter attack, deep defending, closing down to the max.
Quite frustrating and i must admit this new release is not my cup of tea
So, is it just me, or what?
I think the main factor is randomness. I experimantally played 'kamikaze' tactics 2-2-2-4 wit 2 WB 2 M R/L 2 AM R/L and 4 FC (no CD's, no DM's no Mc's) and i didnt lost any goal ! I have won 2-0 against Olympiakos in Greece Superleague.
"Closing Down to the max" there might be your problem.
It draws players out of position. closing down is good but there's a limit. Drawing them out of position gives opponents way to much time and space to score.
Even though your shots might have been more in quantity doesnt mean they were quality. The AI never gives away much space so I always give one of my best striker a little creative freedom to roam around their box to create chances.
