Sorry for the ambiguous topic title.
Right, i have had real trouble downoading tactics. Mostly, my own work fine, but i sometimes just look to test these ones out. However, i can download the tactics fine, but when i try to open them, it says that the file is corrupted. This is not just with one file, but with every file i hae attempted to download. I use winRAR if that helps anybody.

Unzip them first and make sure that downloaded tactcis have a .tac file expension. They should then be OK to import.

By the way, if you start off by apologising for an inappropriate thread title, perghaps it is best not to bother with that title and come up with one that will get people to read and reply and not give you a hard time.

get winzip, then on the tactics right click and go extract with winzip, pet

If we assume that the tactics downloads are in a compressed ( zipped ) format then you use either one of the 2 unzipping utilities ( WinZip or WinRar ) to unzip them, then do as I suggested above once they are unzipped. WinRar and WinZip are free downloads.
