Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Pre season Training

I have a few questions about pres season training for my Vauxhalls side in the Blue Square North

1. what should i focus the training on most?

2. Is it advisable to keep the workload to medium or can you go up to very high for pre season.

3. How long before the first game should i stop pre season training and continue with normal training?

at the moment i tend to focus it more on strenth and aerobics with very little skills training. With all my players being part time too i cant put the settings that high.

I also tend to have the work load at high and revert back to normal training on the first of august.

1. Strength and aerobic is fine.

2. Intensity can go up to high

3. Strength and Aerobic for 3 weeks at high, then back to normal skills training at the top end of medium till the first game, then lower the intensity as the season progresses.
