I have Kaka behind my striker and he has high creativity and free role. He also has ttb often and rwb often. But he always just has long shots! Now, sometimes this isnt a problem (when it goes in) but the amount of times he goes for it isnt good. Any suggestions to sort this guy out?

I am not sure if it's a possible bug after the beta patch. I am using ac milan, and i too experience that.

My Kaka is set to normal creativity, rwb often, ttb and cross ball mixed. No free role or try long shot.

I get this with gerrard at liverpool as well. All he ever does is shoot the ball over the bar. ****ing me right off. in fact the whole ****ing thing is ****ing me off

Check their preferred moves. That will explain their excessive shooting. In addition, giving him high creativity translates into Kaka doing what he pleases.

Van Der Vaart is doing this for me as well, he has 6-8 shots from outside the box every game. Not complaining though as he is top scorer 2 seasons running

Yeah try turning down his Creativity a bit.

Kaka got the PPM "shots from distance" so yes he will try that when its possible

So how do I stop trigger happy AMC while still having him on high CF playmaker role ?

same problem with me too. but he scores amazing number of goals from long distance. I had him as long shots rarely yet he scored 2 from long rangers in 1 game
will try out the low creativity with kaka that EA_mon_hello2 suggested.

Too me this is the worst thing about this years version. I play 4 3 3, Jean II Makoun in the middle and he keeps shooting. Same with my wide forwards, they hit the ball early and shoot from long range. They have long shots rarely but still sky it.

In defence of the game, this is realistic to real life football. Most shots in a real life game are mid range misses and misshits.
