I have a logo consisting of four (4) text elements (see attachment) that I would like to be able to create through an action. The problem I'm having is that the document is not always the same size and PS sees percentages for text placement. I need to have the text placed in relation to each other regardless of the documents size. I've tried repeatedly with different settings to get this to work and I'm at a loss. PLEASE HELP ME! 8)) In advance
I guess I'm lost by your response. I do have them in a layer set in the document that I created the logo in. Now I'm trying to recreate this in any document though an action. Maybe I'm not clear on my problem statement. ??
Sorry. ;\ To be honest, I was a bit confused about your post, because you said "I have a logo consisting of four (4) text elements (see attachment)", yet I don't see 4 text elements in your attachment. I would appreciate a better example and try to explain in more detail what you're trying to achieve. Mind you, my problem is in general not finding solutions, but trying to figure out what exactly the problem is that the other tries to solve. The point is that you probably won't get a satisfying answer if I don't know what the problem is (or if I have to guess, like in this case).
My fault actually ;\ I always forget that when you post... others don't know everything you're seeing
Ok, so... I have circled the four text elements in the attachment so you can see the different pieces that make up the logo. The 'M' and 'P' are one size font and the rest is another size font. Then I have rotated and placed each piece by hand to get the finished product (first post).
I would like to be able to create this in any size document and get the finished product with an action.
Let me know if I've missed anything important (again). :}
The best start would be to create a Brush of your Text.
Start with a new document, create your Text, Hide the backgound, merge visable layers.
Select>Color Range, move the fuzziness slider all the way to 200 and click ok.
Then make your custom brush, choose Edit>Define Brush Preset and name it what you want to call it and click ok.
You can then select the brush you made in your new action to stamp your name/watermark,
then select the text layer and use Layer - Align Layers to Selection options.
Thanks Paul R, I considered that before, but decided against it because of limitations of using a brush. I really want the flexibility of having actual text. I'll give it a try though and report back. Thanks!!!
