Default Are Celtic LLM? I think so!

Season 2006-2007 - Stalybridge Celtic - Conference North

Started out with a reasonable squad, expected to finish seventh. Excelled all season and wrapped up the title with one game to go. On loan ST proved to be vital in the first two thirds of the season. Signed a long-term striker in January who proved equally as good. Lots of promising youngsters who I am determined to stick with next season. Will start to move key players to full-time contracts...

Top Scorer: On-loan 20 yo ST (21 goals)
Player of Year: 29 yo AML (10 goals, 14 assists, 7.22 ave rat)
Players in: 4 (0k) + 3 (on loan)
Players Out: 12 (released) + 2 (4k)

Cups: had visions of FA Trophy run... York beat us 5-2 at home in 1st round replay

Season 2007-2008 - Stalybridge Celtic - Conference National

We were predicted to finish 23rd. Halfway through the season we weren't even achieving that, firmly rooted to the bottom of the league and 15 points adrift of safety. This was mostly due to a combination of injuries and the inability of my GKs to make a save or kick a ball more than 5 yards. With five games to go, we had clawed our way to within four points of safety. However, a championship-winning-esque run by Crawley and only one point from our last three games consigned us to relegation with one game left to go...

Top Scorer: 21 yo Fast Tall Jamaican Striker [last years long-term signing!] (17 goals)
Player of Year: 30 yo AML (7 goals, 9 assists, 6.86 ave rat)
Players in: 11 (1k)
Players Out: 2 (1k) + 15 (released)

Cups: got a couple of wins early on... which was nice!

European Championships 2008 - Austria and Switzerland

Semis:
Germany 2-1 Holland (St. Jakobspark, Basel)
Italy p1-1 England (Stadion an der Gugl, Linz)

Final:
Germany 0-1e Italy (Ernst-Happel-Stadion, Vienna)

Golden Boot:
31 yo Lanky Italian Striker (6 goals)

Season 2008-2009 - Stalybridge Celtic - Conference North

Board wanted the title.. duly delivered, wrapping it up with three games to go. Never really looked like not winning the league despite constant pressure from Southport. Broke my record win three times. Four players scored over 15 goals this season. My young Jamaican striker played for Jamaica U23s and has been called up to the full squad a couple of times. Had to sell my young CB/captain for £40k to balance the books.

KUTGMisleadingThreadTitleW!

Must admit I also was suckered in here and was expecting a roasting from the elders. Really good start aswell and always nice to see a bad season followed by a good one. Hopefully a better time will be had in the ConNat this time around!
