Yes, it's another update thread.
Leagues loaded: England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain
2006/07 Hinkley United Conference North
Expectations: Promotion Contenders
It takes the first half of the season until I find the best combination of strikers to pair upfront so I struggle quite a bit with scoring goals and as a result I've entered the <STRIKE>funny</STRIKE> boring world of midtable obscurity. In the second half of the season things get a bit better but we lost too many points so we are only able to climb up to 7th place.
Cups: suck arse.
In came: 19 year old Pakistani international striker whos only playing in the Pakistani team cause he's the only striker they have for 0€.
At winter came another defender on a free and for the next season a new goalkeeper.
Out goes: A bit of deadwood and too old players whom i cant give a contract as they are also coaches and I'm not allowed to have more then one.
07/08 Hinkley United Conference North
Expectations: Finish in the top half.
I was very confident given that I now knew my squad and whom I had to field for some good results. 15 games and 8 points later I was sacked.
Wattenscheid Germand Regional Division North
Expectations: Avoid Relegation
I was very surprised that a team with such small expectations were actually lying in 8th position. In other news they had quite a few players on loan f.e. a brazilian AM RLC who was able to play some very nice passes, a goalkeeper who got some clean sheets and a german left winger whom i was able to sign after the season as his contract ran out. Team got some nice results for the rest of the season and a 7 games unbeaten run in which we also didn't concede a single goal made us climb up the table until 4th place.
In came: A spanish AMRC/FC to replace the brazilian who didn't want to play another season on loan, the german left winger, a defensive midfielder from Togo and a backup AMR. Total money spent: 0€
Out goes: The whole reserve squad.
08/09 Wattenscheid Regional Division North
Expectation: Secure midtable position.
Confident that I brought in enough quality I qo into the season with a bit higher expectations. 12 games later we have 10 points and are 8 points away from a nonrelegation-spot. A bit frustrated by some 1-7 loses I resign.
Bath City Conference South
Bath City were promoted to the Conference South last season and so they expected a season of relegation fighting. When I join them they lie in 4th place. Mostly due to an italian loan striker from cardiff who leads their goalscoring charts. They continue their good run and after some games we are in the lead by 7 points. Some draws later we are still in the lead by 3 points come the last game of the season. Obviously 2nd placed Tourquay win their matches and we lose ours 0-1 to Farnborough due to a direct freekick in the 80th minute.
Off to the playoffs then: Semifinals 4-2 agg vs Eastbourne Boro.
In the finals we meet Farnborough again and after 120 minutes noone scored. They have three players who can score from the spot. We have two. Story told. Another season of Conference South.
Our three best players will leave including italian striker who scored 36 goals in 49 games because all of them are on loan here. Off to relegation fight we go it seems as my scouts are able to find 55 players but not one of them is a striker.
