Quite an inconsistent season, as we usually won or lost - draws were rare. Started out

fantastic and even reached 3rd at one stage, but our fire burned out a bit and we came 8th.

I was happy with how we did. A 22 year old DC impressed massively for us, and became our

best player, with me having to reject two offers for him. Our 32 year old Bosnian ST was

top scorer with 14 from 23, and tied for first in the league.

For most of the season, we were worried about relegation, but thrashing the team just above

(4-0) and below (3-0) us towards the end of the season eased my fears. This gave us enough

points to avoid relegation as we moved into the last few games.

Chinese League First Group:

Chinese League Trophy: 1st Round Home Loss to Shanghai Feixiang (Great League)

Other Awards: Our 6K goalkeeper got second worst signing of the season.

As both our first choice strikers were now over thirty, I brought in two younger strikers

at 20 and 22, and a third for competition. It would be one of our older strikers who banged

in 15 from 18 and was top goalscorer in the league with 13 and could have gotten so many

more were it not for injury.

In a season that saw a fourteenth team join (??) we played fairly well all throughout, and

coming to a close with an eleven game unbeaten run, and finishing just four points short of

first. We had the greatest attack in the league with 42 goals scored, but - guess what -

our defence was leaky - as was our bank account.

On to another season of squad building/steady improvement!

I've never managed outside of Europe before.

Anyways, there are fifteen people in my league this year. Anyone out there able to shed any light on why the numbers increase?
