Have the upgrades to the facilities happened yet? Can't believe the lack of pro-status. I presume you've given most of your squad fulltime contracts anyway?

Still can't get my head round the number of cup comps in Northern Ireland.

Is the big fat lardy centre half showing any signs of becoming part of your non-playing staff yet?

Season summary. It's pretty hard to be too downhearted when you win the League and four cups. The only problem is that we once again lost the big cup, and failed to progress at all, (again), in the U18's Cup. The real icing on the cake though was our journey through Europe that saw us battle against opposition from 8 different countries. I was absolutely gutted to lose to Newcastle in the Champions League. We levelled things on aggregate up in injury time, only for them to kick off and go and score the winner before I could get to my tactics screen. If I didn't know better I would swear that the AI cheated me. IN fact it actually worked in my favour. Instead of 6 defeats in the champions League group stages I in fact got a further 10 games in the UEFA Cup.

Other points of note.

We turned professional at the beginning of the season, (as did Portadown), which means that together with Linfield, there are now 3 professional teams in N'orn Iron. I was hoping to be able to scout the World but will have to make do with UK only.

This was the first year that a Fred played a role of any note. His physical stats didn't look great, (well he was only 16 for most of the season), by he really performed when called upon.

The board have announced that construction has begun on the upgrade of the clubs training and youth facilities. This is the 3rd year in succession that this has happened.

We've now got about £4.5M in the bank but have little to spend it on as we can only scout the UK.

My fairly determined Irish striker was Runner Up in the 2016 Champions League Golden Boot, (with 8 goals). I think it's a bit harsh that he was only Runner Up and not joint winner as the winner also scored 8 goals in the competition. My guy obviously played fewer game too, so I am more than a little irked.

Lisburn Rangers rocketed up 180 places to 145th in the new European Club rankings.

N.Ireland clubs are ranked 35th of 53 member Nations, (up 2 places).

The N.Ireland National team didn't qualify for this Summers Euro-Championship, and only finished ahead of the Faroe Islands in their qualifying group. The tournament, (held in Greece), was eventually won by England, who have a striker with a girls name, who scored a hat-trick in the final but can't even get a game for Man Utd.

Britsh clubs are stillconstantly sniffing round my better players, and I sold a centre-half to Spurs for £500,000 up front, a friendly and 50% of his re-sale value.

Once again, apologies for the long post. I'm trying to keep it brief.

He's actually just left the club .

He was transfer listed by request for most of the last season and I couldn't get him to change his mind. He scored 110 goals for me in 9 seasons, and was only 2 short of overtaking my top striker as all time leading league goal-scorer for the club.

He hasn't got his coaching licence yet but I will be approaching him if and when he does.

* Derry City are a team from N.Ireland who have chosen to play in the Republic of Irish League structure, (just think of it like Cardiff or Swansea). As far as I am aware they are the only N.Irish team to have done so. The reasons of this are twofold, (I think).

1. The ROI League structure is of a higher standard, more clubs are professional and there is more money in the game.

2. The ROI League structure changed the timing of their league start and finish dates in order to make it easier for their member clubs to progress in the early stages of European competition.

I am not sure if Derry moved before or after the change.

Just thought i would say that Derry City used to play in the N.I. before leaving it due to religious pressure, it being too dangerous for the mainly catholic fans to enter mainly protestant belfast, likewise for the belfast fans to travel to Londonderry.

They joined the L.O.I. as said in 1985, i think after having to be voted in by the then current members.

But Great read, KUTGW

2016/17. Season 10.

Premiership. Champions . P30 W26 D3 L1 GF87 GA19 GD+68 PTS81. (We set a new Premiership record for points accumulated and goals scored).
Champions League. FC Fehervar of Hungary knocked us out in the 2nd Qualifying Round.
League Cup. Champions . (bt Linfield in final).
Antrim Cup. Champions . (bt Glentoran in final).
N.Irish Cup. Lost in 6th Round. (Portadown) .
All Ireland Cup. Champions . (bt Portadown in final on penalties).

Reserve League. (Ass Man). Champions . (Won all 30 games ending with goal difference of +137).
Antrim Trophy. Champions .
Intermediate Cup. Champions .
U18's League. (Ass Man). 4th of 16.
U18's Cup. Lost in 2nd Round. (Comber Rec) . (I can see me winning a European trophy before I win this).

My Player of the year. Fairly loyal all round striker who bagged 30 goals for the season. He is also the record league goal-scorer with 74, and the record all time all competition scorer with 155.

Supporters Player of the year. Above mentioned fairly loyal all round striker

Quote:
Champons League overview.

Champions League 1st Qualifying Round.

Leg 1. (A). Lisburn Rangers 3 Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) 0.
Leg 2. (H). Lisburn Rangers 7 Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) 0.

Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round.

Leg 1. (H). Lisburn Rangers 1 FC Fehervar (Hungary) 1.
Leg 2. (A). Lisburn Rangers 1 FC Ferehvar (Hungary) 2.
Season summary. We won our 3rd successive Premiership, (and set league records for goals scored and points accumulated) along the way, but once again we failed to win the N.Irish Cup, and only got as far as the 2nd Round in the U18's suck ass. I can't exactly call it a failure as we won 7 competitions, but a lack of success in the big Cup and the U18's Cup is really starting to grate. Also concerning, is the loss of 8 first team players who have moved on to pastures new against my wishes. (2 are staying in N'orn Iron, 1 going to Jockland and 5 moving to Poofland

Other points of note.

The board have announced that construction has begun on the upgrade of the clubs training facilities. This is the 3nd year in succession that this has happened. I made this a condition when signing my new 4 year contract. This will take 3 months to complete. Unfortunately, they refused to upgrade the youth facilities due to lack of funds, (we still have over £2,000,000 in the bank and nobody to spend it on. I managed to poach a young defensive midfielder away from under the noses of Hibernian. (I'm not sure if that says more about the improving reputation of N.Irish football, or about the general state of football outside the Old Firm.

Lisburn Rangers moved up 9 places to 136th in the new European Club rankings (coefficient of 16.233).

N.Ireland clubs are ranked 31st of 53 member Nations, (up 4 places), (and have a coefficient of 11.000).

The N.Ireland National team are were in a bit of a tussle with Switzerland for the 2nd place in WCQ Group 4, (behind Poofland), but after narrow losses to both the Pooflanders and the Holeycheerers, it looks like obscurity of 3rd place and elimination. None of the current squad play their football in N.Ireland, (although I have had 5 different players called up this sueason without being capped). The majority of the squad play in Poofland, with 6 plying their trade in Jockland and 1 in Clogland.

Britsh clubs just won't leave my players alone at the minute and it's getting right on my man breasts.
