My player of the year. Fairly loyal all round striker. As well as collecting the fans player of the year award, he collected the N.Irish Premiership player of the year award and the N.Irish player of the year award to boot. He was rewarded with a call up to the senior N.Ireland squad for the World Cup in Soain. Although he hasn't made his debut yet, he is the only player currently playing his football in N.Ireland in the squad.
Supporters player of the year. Fairly loyal all round striker, who has now scored 90 goals in the last 4 season.

Season summary.
Well after reaching the group stages of the UEFA Cup last season, (and having £3M in the bank), the plan was for the club to turn professional and allow me to scout abroad and therefore fill my team with cheap as chips Eastern Europeans. We didn't, so my scouts didn't, so I didn't. The league was a step forward, (we were in with a shout with a couple of games to go), but until we start beating Linfield on a regular basis, we don't really have a scooby. They beat us convincingly in the end, despite having to play much of the season without their star striker who suffered a broken leg. I brought in 8 players for £135,000 and got rid of 16 for £165,000. I am resigned to the fact that we probably won't turn pro until we win the league a few times. Next season should be even closer than this seasons 3 point margin.
Other points of note.
When my Fred's were promoted at the beginning of this coming season, the carp Ass man told me that not a single one stood out. I have never seen that before.
The board have announced that construction has begun on the upgrade of the clubs training and youth facilities. This should be completed rounghly in late August, (believe it when I see it).
Lisburn Rangers moved up 5 places to 323rd in the new European Club rankings.
N.Ireland clubs are ranked 40th of the 53 member Nations.
N.Ireland qualified from Group C, (consisting of Germany, Algeria & Iran), of the World Cup being held in Spain, before losing 1-0 to Holland in the 2nd Round.
