That's getting silly now - I've just been reading that our local steam railway is entering their mascot (The Railway Rabbit) this year - see http://www.themascotgrandnational.co.uk/ for details Jimbo.

Deciding upon a fat man as our mascot was always a short-sighted measure, IMHO.

2012/13. Season 6.

Premiership. Runners Up. (Linfield). P30 W17 D8 L5 GF70 GA41 GD+29 PTS59. (6 pts lower than last season).
UEFA Cup. Finished 5th, (of 5), in Group B. (See below).
League Cup. Lost in Qtr-final. (Linfield).
Antrim Cup. Runners Up. (Glentoran).
N.Irish Cup. Lost in 5th Round. (Distillery).
All Ireland Cup. Lost in Semi-final. (Derry City).

Reserve League. (Ass Man). Champions .
Antrim Trophy. Champions .
Intermediate Cup. Champions . (I forgot to take over for the final and the Ass Man came up trumps with a 5-0 victory against First Div Dundela) .
U18's League. (Ass Man). 4th.
U18's Cup. Lost in 2nd Round. (Larne).

My player of the year. Big Fat (old) Target Man. He didn't start a single league game last season, because I thought he was past it. My main striker was injured for the early European games so he got a recall rather than me change tactics. 7 European goals is good by anyones standards, (it's especially good when you are as pacey as a sloth and have all the anticipation of Nick Leeson. He banged in 16 in total this season. The only person who ran him close was the big fat lardy centre-half who notched another 16 goals, (including 3 in Europe), to bring his total to the club to 91 in 6 seasons. Big is beautiful .
Supporters player of the year. Fairly loyal all round striker who after scoring 24 & 16 goals in his first 2 seasons, weighed in again with another 18 to make 58 in 3 season.

Season summary.

It started badly losing my senior striker, but then the old bloke kept banging them in on European nights so I just sort of kept with it. We were found out when put in amongst the big boys of Group B. (I must admit to thinking that the game was broken again at one point). We lost the league becaus eof the fixture pile-up at the end of the season. Too many Cups for feck sake. It seems like the way forward is to throw everything this year and hope I win the league, and then throw the league the following season and concentrate on Europe. (A very risky strategy indeed). Despite having by far my most succesful season so far, I won only the Antrim Trophy. I would have won the Intermediate Cup too, but I forgot to take control of the team and my Ass Man led the Reserves to a 5-0 victory. Just to rub it in, he won the Reserves League for a 3rd successive year and they are now unbeaten in 60 league games. Including Cup games, it's 76 games since they tasted defeat. If the suck ass cups continue to vex me so, I may just see how he does in charge of the senior team. I have over £3,000,000 in the bank after a share of the gate in Madrid and some nice prize money payments. I'm hoping that it will be ebough to turn us pro in the Summer and I can the search outside Nor'n Iron.

Apologies if this is too much information. It's hard to limit it with so many competitions, and the real update is European progress, so......... I hope you will cut me some slack :o.
