Pos 15th of 20 - narrowly avoiding a relegation playout. The squad was full of vastly overpaid useless crap on 2 year contracts which no one wants to sign (very sensible other managers). We loose £2 million with an average attendance of 534 and a massive wage bill, no income from transfers.
Star man - Injury plagued striker 27 games 15 goals.
2007/2008 - Segunda B3
For some reason, despite our negative bank balance, the board do give me a heathly wage budget and I stupidly decide to invest in some Bosmans (hopefully not considered player naming ) to attempt a promotion and challenge the strong teams relegated from the second tier. My attempt fails, although I am not sacked, we plunge even further into debt, but then the board 'find' £2.2 million during the season to inject to keep the club afloat. We end the season in 8th position of 20, missing out the end of season play-offs.
Star man - Injury plagued striker 25 games 22 goals.
2008/2009 - Segunda B3
My financial control of the club is helped by the termination of those start of game players who had 2 year contracts and both our league position and finances stabalise (with another £1.3 million investment). We finish the season in 7th position out of 20 after an awful start we steadily climb up the league and miss out on the play-offs by 7 points.
We are steadily building and next season looks very promising, however it looks so diffcult to get promoted due to the end of season play-off system with all other third teir top teams.
Star man - 18 year old understudy to my injury plagued striker 33 games 16 goals.
Total board investments so far £3.8 million and more just to cover wages! I think the board have realised to not give the manager any money and I will probably blow it all.

17 new signings joins on free transfers, chairman continues to bankroll the club until a Copa Del Rey 4th round tie with Real Madrid adds £550,000 to the coffers with a two leg affair and a 6-1 aggregate loss.
The team was strong the majority of the season, never falling out of the top 7 places, but never really putting a good run togeather to push for top spot or to cement a play-off place. In the end we managed to underperform missing out on the play-offs by 5 points.
The major surprise of the season came in the end of season awards, my new 20 year old Dutch striker was awarded the Spanish Young Player of the Year Award! He was average for Segunda B3 (32 games 16 goals) but not that good to be considered a serious bright prospect.

Despite the board increasing their expections to requiring a mid-table finish they go over my head and sell our star French midfielder for £1.1M (probably to stop going into administration!)and as our new midfield fail to settle at the start of the season we go through several inconsistant runs. However, the young Dutch striker shows real promise, living upto last seasons player of the year label by scoring 27 in 33 games and becoming a U21 International and making a real difference to the squad, propelling us into the end of season play-offs.
The four play-off games were really tight afairs with narrow aggregate wins and plenty of goals. We acheive promotion after 5 seasons at our first attempt in the play-offs!
At the end of the season several key players, including the Dutch striker, request to leave for bigger clubs, which I could understand if we had not gained promotion. Not sure if I can forgive them for their lack of commitment and I am already searching for replacements. We face a tought test in the second tier as the first 3 games are against recently relegated R.Sociedad, Celta Vigo and Xerex!

Copa Del Rey - 5th Round v Recreativo
All those players who wanted to leave for bigger clubs at the start of the season stayed as no-one was interested. No-one wants to join us and we are favourites for relegation at 500-1 odds for promotion.
Last seasons promotion winning team retain their starting places and fail miserably in the opening games with an 8 game winless streak. I thought these were ominous signs and prepared for the worst.
The rest of the season was full of streaks. We win 3 games then lose 4, but this more than seemed enough to stave off the threat of relegation as in late May we finish 3 points and 4 places above the relegation zone. A marvellous achievement considering the lack of new signings and failure to train any decent youngsters.

Copa Del Rey - Lost in second round
16 new signings join in July for £47K (my first signing fee in 7 seasons), including a large foreign contingent as scouting abroad is expanded: 1 Swede, 3 Austrians, 4 Dutch and 1 experienced former Sierra Leone International adding a bit a class to the squad. This is all well and good until I realise that I failed to keep tabs on the cumulative signing on fees. This cost me £866,000 and plunged the club towards administration. Also my poor financial control (now generously rated as 1) also failed to appreciate the impact of the wages which now exceed the budget by £40K, greater than the previous season by £2.5M.
All the above might well have been academical if the squad showed any promise to pull together as one team, however they failed to bond (plus my tactical incompetence) and after a relatively promising start with early season wins over local rivals Espanyol, we slide down the table and flirt with relegation from October onwards finishing a respectable 14th place, improving on last seasons performance slightly.
The problem is that of those 16 new signings, only the three Austrians show any promise and have started attracting the interest of Real Madrid and Chelsea among others. 2 of the Austrians (DC & MC) have been solid first team players and have played several full internationals this season aged 18 and 19 respectively. It is going to be hard keeping these guys for next season, I am considering replacements already, worried that the board will accept a stupidly low offer due to the perilous finances, with the board ever reluctantly investing in the club to keep my spending habits going and the club afloat.

Copa Del Rey - Lost in second round (again).
With the board, fans and me starting the season anticipating relegation, this was one of the most enjoyable seasons playing this game.
I was offered the England job in July, which was rejected.
11 players join for a total £375K, including our new record signing a Serbian ST for £300K. 16 players leave for a total of £1.6M.
I manage to fend off interest from the major European teams for the 3 Austrians (including rejecting a £5.75M bid from Barcelona for the Austrian MC). Despite them all wanting to leave they still put in solid performances all season. The media rate them all as "the best young players of their generation". They all have contracts until 2017 so I am in no rush to sell them yet.
We are never out of the top 5 positions all season and the final match day was a day to remember even though we were not promoted.
With 6 teams fighting for the last remaining promotion spot, we were in 5th position, 1 point behind 3rd place. We thump Salamanca 5-0 at home but results elsewhere don't go in our favour as Celta beat Alicante (who are also promotion contenders) 1-0 with an 88th minute winner to book the final promotion place.
The season does end in disappointment as not gaining promotion results in my star Italian AM/FC leaving on a free to Valencia, he would have signed a new contract but the wage demands of £23K per week were just too high.
There is one player, surprisingly still an active first team year, who remains from my original Hospitalet team at the start of the game in 2006/2007. He has notched up 252 games and 126 goals, he is also the Segunda Divison A player of the year with an average rating og 7.57.
With promotion nearly reached expectations for next season have been increased. Plus the fans are already putting their money where their mouth is, with an increase in season ticket sales for 2014/2015 jumping from £67K to £1.6M showing that I have finally captured their imagination and taste for football after 9 years at the helm!
