People pay attention to the finances?

If they give me the money I will spend it, if they don't :shrugs:

Let the board worry about the money

Well of course.

Does anyone know if being at a club heavily in debt can in turn effect the players?

Wonder if any plans to add things like non payment of players into future FM games. Boston couldn't pay their players last year which has to have had an effect on the players performance and in turn their relegation to the Conference (albeit they were then relegated again due to financial irregularities)

I like to keep an eye on the finances if I can do anything about it. Keeps the board happy with you. After all if the board make comments on the finances as they do it must have some bearing on the game or else why would it be in there?

As memory serves, during a disastrous half-season in charge of Aalen in Germany, losing 250k a month and so far into the red they were practically off the visible spectrum, most of my squad ended up with 'Unh' icons because they were "worried about the long-term future of the club" or something along those lines.

They played like pish whether they were happy or not, so how much of an effect it had...

That's great that that has been factored into the game.

I played FM06 in League 2 a lot where clubs were £300k in debt - Bristol Rovers spring to mind - but board just kept giving £75k and £50k here and there.

Not seen much of it in FM2007 so glad that if you lose money like that it does effect the club and the players.

I never get money to spend - The Margate board just gave me 75k to spend in our debut premiership season. I cant spend anyway - My highest fee paid for Margate was 1.5 million and he sucked - 18 y/o striker - Who never scored for me - He got to 22 and was offloaded for 250k. My best players are either free or below 100k. Money sucks - Wages are all you need to keep an eye on - And thats hard too - But going over 10%ish shouldnt be too bad - After 10-20 games - If a player isnt playing for you - Ask yourself why you still have him if he is on some decent moolah.

Or ask yourself if this is tipping?

Am I the only one who takes pride in being a financial whizz? I always try and keep the club running even every season.

One of my best achievements was a 2 player game years ago. I was Everton (my mate didn't like Llama'ing) and I managed to cut the wage bill enough and trade my way out of a £20+million pound debt and still get a UEFA cup spot.

Even now in LLM world, I get furious and punt half my best players if we lose more than 50K in a season.

Might be why I've won hee-haw though.....

Lot of semi tipping going on around here.

Do what you think and if turns to ***** you'll be the proud recipient of a brown envelope and the opportunity to take your hard earned lesson somewhere else.

That's what LLaMas do (unaided)

If I get a transfer budget to work with i'll use it, not giving two fecks if I go over my wage budget.

It's not my department, so let the board deal with it.
