Default Alf Garnett's guys...

Season 2011/12

Ayr United, Scottish 3rd Division, respectable position...

How respectable is last place, 36 games, 34 points, a -14 Goal Difference?

Well, the board seem to be keeping me on for another season.

Previous 5 seasons were spent at Leigh, we managed to get promoted to League 2 but the Ayr job became vacant, I applied, so I was Jockland bound...

...and finished bottom :o

I am also playing in the 3rd Scottish league, however I picked up Montrose. When my opponents get the ball and look up field my defense looks something like this..

Its all a bit comical really. Anyway, is it right that this league doesn't have any relegation places? If this isn't a bug does anyone know how new Scottish teams can penetrate the league?

No relegation places.

The only times there's movement is if there's restructuring, if a team goes bust, or if East Stirling eventually get kicked out.

So no...not a bug.

In theory, if a team finishes bottom of the Scottish third division three seasons in a row, it can be voted out of the league. In practice, they can't.

You have to consider whether a team worse than East Stirling exists. Then ask yourself would the football team representing the bakers of Aberdeen really want to bother playing all across Scotland.

I doubt East Stirling would ever get kicked out....they give the other teams something to laugh at.

Mind you though, looking at the real life Scot 3rd Div table, they're 2nd with 12 points from 5 games at the moment, so they've actually managed so far to win 4 times more than they usually manage all season.

Looks like Elgin are the new team to laugh at! It was them that were battling it out with East Stirling for last seasons wooden spoon and it looks like they'll be there again this season!!
