Frank sent me to Leigh RMI. My road atlas tells me that it's in the @rse end of nowhere. Turns out that there were players of similar talent to match the geographical abyss. Carp. No money. Small wage budget. Signed a few more players. Carp. We didn't do anything of merit at all. Oh, I decimated the backroom staff, handing out P45s to all and sundry and found some better scouts. My assistant manager left after a year in the job.
Promotion. We were bumming around mid table and flirting with the play-offs until Christmas. My scouts surpassed themselves and we signed a bunch of welsh talent for the price of holiday break on the English Riviera. These young bucks perked up the rest of the squad into a post yuletide slog and we ended up 4 points clear at the end. Crikey. Couple of Freds, bit of luck and there it is. My new assistant manager also left after a year.
Mid Table anonymity. The board decided to go pro. Wage costs went up and we did nothing of merit, but were never in any real danger. Few more signings at Christmas, leading to a very young squad with an average age of just 20. Some decent talent but sporadic form meant I was just grateful to keep it all together and not get relegated. I also signed a pacey young striker, who will feature later on. My third new assistant manager left after a year. Again.

Leigh RMI are scheduled to move into a spanking new stadium from the start of the game. Checked on Wiki and it's a shared ground with a rugby team. They'd better be good, as we sure as **** can't fill the thing!

Even a dead cat bounces - the tale of Ron Manager Post #2
Good to see I'm not the only one who can't keep hold of an assistant manager, I've seen 7 through the doors in my save. More annoyingly all of them now earmn more money than me.

I find that at this level, my assistants won't commit to more than a one year deal when first joining. Then, they won't renew their contract after joining and jump ship once it expires.
I was starting to think that I had bad breath or something

I also had 4 different ass.mans in my first 6 seasons. The first two didn't want to renew, the latter two were poached, but I got my first transfer kitty from their compensation fees :p
