This season was a lot more enjoyable than the previous one, we actually played fairly well! One of my young Scandinavian lads that I picked up last season (for £120k) was sold on by my chairman for £9.2m (something that made the fans' angry at ME) and I used the money to start trying to build a half decent team. In came a promising striker from "cash-strapped" Bournemouth and a skillful central midfielder.
The new signings took time to gel, and by the time we hit any kind of form we had nothing left to play for but consolidation.
Still, we had survived again and next season hopefully we can make a serious assault on the league.

After a few seasons of relative success, I couldn't bear any more 1-0 games. This team had outgrown me, and needed a manager that could play good football, so I packed my bags half way through the season and went on home.
I got a call from the Blue Toon a few weeks later.

I thought we'd struggle to win the league as we were in 7th when I joined and about 20 points off the pace. Still, we had a healthy bank balance to work with and I managed to bring in a 6'1" striker to help out. His Tally of 14 goals in the remaining 18 games helped us to surge up the table into 2nd and the play-offs.
We managed to beat East Stirling 5-2 and Airdrie by 4-2, which saw us gain promotion.
All in all, I was very pleased with my ship-jumping, which sees me manage in my 4th country. Only Wales to go!
