Season 2017
University College Dublin
Irish Premier Division
Media/Board: Battke Bravely

After last years title win, I thought the boys would be able to avoid relegation quite comfortably. After ten games we were top of the pile, with an unbelievable defensive record. The second third of the season was not quite as lucrative, points-wise and we dropped down the table, though the inconsistency of other sides was very helpful.
With ten games to go we were sitting seventh, we managed to start putting the ball in the net and picked up a few wins and some draws, finally finishing fifth. A very pleasing first year in the big leagues.
My boys still aren't scoring enough, something will need to be done next year.

Season 2018
University College Dublin
Irish Premier Division
Media/Board: Battle Bravely

I signed a right-winger who had previously flourished for me at Chimney Corner at the start of the season, and he gave me some much needed pace on the right-wing. For the first half of the season we were in the top three, then things changed... for the better! Five games from the end of the season we faced league leaders Cork City away and stole a 3-2 win in injury time!
That win put us two points ahead with four games to go, we won all four! Champions League next year.

Season 2019
University College Dublin
Irish Premier Division
Media/Board: Mid Table

I spent most of this season dreaming of Champions League glory. We won well in the early rounds of the All Ireland Cup (a competition of which I was only vaguely aware until this season) until eventually being beaten at the semi-final stage by Linfield
The league went well, we basically walked it. At one point we were ten points ahead until the aquaplaning kicked in and went six games without a win. We never looked too troubled though and won by three points.
As far as the Champions League is concerned, we drew Metalurgs of Latvia in the first qualifying round. I was worried by this as they looked a half decent side, but a 3-1 win at home calmed my fears. We won the second leg 1-0 in Latvia and booked a tie with the mighty Rosenborg!
We played well in the first leg, but conceded an unlucky goal (which was offside by the way!). A late equaliser saw the game finish 1-1. The second leg was a very tough game in Norway, which we again dominated but failed to score- 0-0! We went out on away goals but I couldn't really fault the performance, I'm really looking forward to another crack at Europe next year.

The Irish league is tough if you want Champions League glory. Good luck though, admire your spirit

This season saw the curtain fall on my reign as U.C.D boss. Ten games (and seven red cards) into the new season, I was linked to the job at West Bromwich Albion, who had just been relegated to League 2! I couldn't really pass that chance up so:

Season 2021/22
West Bromwich Albion
League Two

Media/Board: Win the League

West Brom aren't a side that I've ever managed before, and with a 30,000 seater stadium and state of the art facilities I felt a little out of my depth. Then I realised that League Two is exactly my depth so I should be fine!
The squad was awful though, the former manager had signed players that wouldn't have got into my Weston-super-Mare team and payed them a fortune.
After transferring several "first team players" and signing a few decent replacements we were ready for the new season. We were top of the league basicall all season, despite some indifferent form. Shrewsbury and Mansfield were nipping at our heels all season though and gave us a good run. We eventually won the league by five points.
Two major plus points for this season:
1.One of my scouts found me a Goalie who he says "Could become a leading Premiership Goalkeeper" who I managed to unsettle and sign for £400k.
2. My new batch of youngsters contained a player who my assman thinks could become one of the best players of his generation!

I'm really excited to see how these two progress, no doubt they'll both get hip injuries two games into next season
