Season 2014/15
Darlington
English League Two
Media/Board: Mid-table
Signed some pretty promising players in the summer, including a lightning fast winger who really impressed my scouts. What they forgot to mention was that he was softer that a pot of yoghurt. He managed just nine games all season, the rest of the time he kept my physio busy.
The rest of the squad was much the same, continually playing right-wingers at left back and strikers in midfield to plug the gaps.
We flirted with relegation for much of the season, and my top scorer lost confidence in my ability- b*****d!
An improvement in form took us up to mid-table, eventually finishing one place ahead of last season!
Record:
P:46 W:18 L:11 D:17 F:64 A:63 PTS:65- 10th place
Slightly worried about next season, I may keep an eye on the job centre.

Well, it was a very short pre-season for me. I applied for a couple of jobs and the board didn't like it. So, off I went with my tail between my legs, and Darlington got themselves a new boss.
After a couple of weeks reading and lazing about in the garden, I got the call...
Season 2015

Media/Board: Win the league!
When I joined the squad was woefully poor, and they were sitting in ninth place (out of ten).The board wanted the title, but as we were one place of bottom and miles behind the leaders I didn't fancy their chances!
I went on a signing spree, picking up eight players to fill out the squad.
My first five games didn't produce a goal (at least the defence was ok), then we started scoring a couple. This was helped by the fact that there seem to be a lot of sendings off in Ireland, or maybe my team are just wind-up merchants!
We picked up some steam and eventually managed to finish fourth!
Record:

Having improved the squad last season, I felt the need for one more striker. My scouts went off around Ireland with the job of finding me a goalscorer. To my surprise they actually found a really good one! His team weren't keen to sell though, so I had to tap him up for four months before they sold him- for £1k.
The season went very well, and we were top virtually all season, eventually winning the league by 16 points! We managed to beat Sligo Rovers (who finished 2nd) five times this season, (once in the cup) so I'm thinking they'll be glad to see the back of us.
Next year should be ok if I can add another defender, if not, we'll see...
