Season 2012/13
Darlington
English League Two
Media/Board: Mid table
After my little hissy fit, I applied for tonnes of jobs. I didn’t seem to be getting much luck (even Morecambe turned me down), but given my past history I suppose they were justified!
Luckily, Darlington decided their manager wasn’t up to the job so I snuck in the back door on a year and a half contract. (Promotion?)
Their squad was ok, nothing special but nothing to really moan about. As the transfer window was already closed I pretty much had to settle with what I was given anyway.
We managed a draw in my first game against Grimsby, but defeats against Carshalton, Hartlepool, Boston and Port Vale had me worried. We didn’t win a single game for the rest of the season and finished 22nd. The board must’ve been delighted by my form!
Next season looks like it might be a struggle, but one plus point is the size of the stadium- 25,033 seater! Now if only we could fill it…

Season 2013/14
Darlington
English League Two
Media/Board: Rebuild Squad
After the debacle last season, I signed an absolute shedload of players in the hope of getting some points on the board. Everyone was expecting an uphill stuggle and up until Christmas they were pretty accurate. Then I picked up a decent frontman and he clicked with my pacey striker, we finally managed to get a few wins.
A good run of form at the end of the season saw us manage to finish mid-table, much better than I expected!
Looking forward to next season, still more in hope than expectation.
