Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums but I have read all of your rules I promise! I'm not new to Football Manager though, have been playing since CM01/02 when a friend introduced me to it. Bastard, I have no free time anymore.
Anyway I see people have been posting their progress so I will show you mine, seeing as I have seen yours, so to speak.
I'll keep it brief
Started the game unemployed with most of Europe loaded apart from some of the more minor footballing nations like Lithuania.
2006 - Asmundstorp - Swedish Second Division South Gotaland. Finished 2nd.
2007 - Asmundstorp - Swedish Second Division South Gotaland. Finished 1st.
2008 - Asmundstorp - Swedish First Division South. Finished 1st. Tried to expand the club but board didn't share my vision. Offered job at:
2009 - 2010 - Derry City - Irish Premier Division. Finished 8th. Irish Senior Challenge cup winner. All Ireland Cup winner.
Qualified for Europe (EURO Cup), out in second qualifying round. New season, no money. Offered a better job for more money at:
2010 - Creteil - French First League. Bottom of league, and stayed that way. Relegated, resigned.
2011 - 2012 - Juve Stabia - Italian Serie C2/C - Team just promoted from obscurity, was a good side, had money. Finished 1st.
2012 - 2013 - Juve Stabia - Italian Serie C1/B - Finished 11th.
2013 - 2014 - Juve Stabia - Italian Serie C1/B - Freefall, team simply won't play anymore. Can't buy a win. Bored, resigned.
2013 - Ukraine - Qualified for world cup 1st in group above England
2013 - Ukraine - Winners Under 21 world championship
Bit of a mixed bag there, started brightly and faded away like a Red Giant star.
Anybody else had trouble with their sides simply stopping following all their instructions, and getting beaten week in week out? It was literally overnight, they just gave up hope.
+1. That's what I call a brief update. I spent three paragraphs pretty much telling about one playoff semi final, and you whizz through eight seasons in one post. I'm impressed! I hope there's more club footy to come though and it isn't all for the Ukraine!
