Currently I'm undecided about whether to start a longterm LLM save or wait until the patch comes out. I haven't really experienced any difficulties in the demo and to be honest, my teams in the lower leagues never close down because they're rubbish anyway. So I'm not sure.

Just wondering what other people are planning to do in this situation?

The patch is mainly about the match engine, I don't know of anything in it that would affect a save game adversely.

I'm a bit of a novice at this - will any alterations to the match engine take effect in an existing save or if I start pre-patch, I am stuck with that match engine until I start a new game?

Match engine changes are made directly to the .exe so are effective in a save game.
