Could this scouting issue be due to the fact the demo is a quickstart on a small database? We'll all be using the largest database when it's released so it may not be an issue...

Resurrecting this thread a little to ask if anyone else has run into this bug in 08 I just added to the annoying insects' forum.

I didn't play the demo much so I don't know if this is an issue other people have experienced or not. Having run into the same issue as Jimbo in attracting scouts at all through the job centre I had to resort to the staff search just to get scouts in the first place, but not getting consistent reports once the damn system was up and running has been a real pain in the bum so far.

I don't think we'll get a proper take on this till a few have the full game up and running.
That includes myself as I won't be doing that at least till the weekend.

Just started a game in the German Regional South division and it seems that some of the teams have no scouts (including the team I started with, Oggershiem ) and some have 2 or 3 (not including the reserve teams of bigger teams of course). Seems to be pot luck in the Lower leagues of Germany so I thought I'd check some bigger sides in England, West Ham apparently start the game with no scouts, although the other premier league sides I checked had some? Can it be right that a premier league side doesn't employ any scouts?

Not being to bothered about the plight of the premier league at the moment i went back and checked some Blue Square North sides. Of the 6 or 7 I checked not one had a scout at the start of the game (some had employed some since). I'm running a large database so it seems to be a problem that wasn't limited to the demo.

sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention that on finding I had no scouts I obviously advertised, so far into Novemebr and not a single person has applied for the post
