Anywhores: the season:

4 more players in, for 18k. On and off form ensued, keeping me between 3rd and 5th. We remained fourth behind Vasteras SK until 9 games to go, and a victory against them with 6 to play put us 3 points clear. they effectively dropped from the race, to be replaced by Pitea, however we were now too far ahead, and the playoffs were assured with 2 games left with a 3-1 away win at Oster. Playoff time

First playoff occurred, and a 2-0 win away at Orgryte ensued.

However an early penalty for Orgryte in the second leg made it 1-0 at half time. 1 minutes later it was 2-0. Panic set in. Full time it was 2-2 on aggregate. Our 14 shots hadn't found the mark.

Nothing happened in extra time.

Penalties: We miss four. Our opponants miss three. ****.

4 months later, struggling Conference North side, Alfreton, languishing in 18th with 29 pts from 22 games, approach me. I accept a large (230K!) transfer budget, and agree to sort them out. They have a relatively weak squad, but given two or three year, I believe I can make them promotion contenders.

All they've done so far is get relegated once, and have a highest position of 8th in the Conference North.
