I think that re-scouting is a good idea. The players that your club needs may change, so that one your previous scout gave ****** may only be valued as ** by your current club

I'll pretty much always rescout a player before making an offer, as per LFCFan's comments - your needs could well have changed since your scout last had a gander at the player.
Better safe than sorry

Personally, I very rarely go by my scouts opinion. As I said, he's there to make me aware of players. I'll decide if they'll fit in to my team.
Do I want pace? A lumbering target man? An eye for a pass? If they have stats in the right area, I'll sign them. Hell, I've signed a couple of players purely on their pedigree. "Played in the champions league? 8 years ago? What the hell, you'll do for me."
The only time I'll re-scout is if the stats I'm looking for have now become hidden.

My shortlist consists entirely of people I've scouted. Good ones stay, carp ones go. However, some of the scout reports have now disappeared. Some of this is because the reports were from scouts at a previous club. Some of this is (I'm assuming) because they were scouted a couple of seasons back.
Now, my thinking is, they've been scouted, I've had reports back before, do I still need to scout them again since the reports disappeared?
| In this scenario, I'll send a scout off to give him the once over. In the time since I last had a clear picture of him, he may have suffered seven broken legs (like most of my squad), or he might have developed into a first choice international (yeah right, that's why he's still part-time on 25 quid a week). So um yeah, re-scout him IMHO.
