It doesnt. My next friendly is against Hereford then Fulham reserves so i cant see a win coming if my start is anything to go by. Im looking at a striker from Leicester, to bring in on loan maybe he will help.

Results in friendlies don't matter there just for getting fitness & deciding which player in your squad is actually half decent.

Good luck with the striker hunt I think you'll need it.

In 08 it helps to get the fans on your side even just by winning a couple of friendlies. I know in the long run they don't mean too much, but morale and fan backing from an early stage can always help!

You're telling me. A 7-1 home defeat to Chippenham in a friendly, and the fans haven't let me forget it since. Doesn't help that going into September I sit proudly in the bottom three, but its a nice touch seeing that friendlies affect morale a little bit.

I'm in real trouble with 08 then, never really took pre-season friendlies all that seriously in the past, as I said I only used then to get players match fit & treated anything else (wins) as a bonus.

Tipping.

Also, Thomas99, try not to turn this into an update thread. We have a three season rule, so go enjoy your three seasons and we'll see you then!
