I was just wondering if it is realistic that my transfer budget would be increased by €40K when I decrease my wage budget by €1K. BTW I am playing as Waterford.

It is realistic if you do the math:
1K per week x52 weeks a year = 52k
not counting interest, it is very close to your 40k increase in spending budget...

Let's assume a season/year has 52 weeks.

If you knock down your wage budget by 1k/weekly, one assumes you'd get 52k saved for the season and thus transferable to kitty.

That the board only allow 40k to be used on transfers is another matter (but I'd call it playing safe as you might intentionally go overbudget to compensate afterwards).
