Hi, I'm S****horpe in league 1. Im just finished season 1 in 8th place. I mostly relied on goals from Colin Larkin (bought from Chesterfield) and an on-loan Giovanni Torre (Portsmouth).
But now Torre has returned to Portsmouth, he is considered an important player for Pompey and they won't loan him out again. So now I'm looking for a new striker. My transfer budget is €450,000, does anybody have any ideas?

Just a hunch but, I may not be able to afford those players on a 450,000 budget.

I got Scunny to the Premiership in 2 seasons ( winning League 1 and the Championship) using Jambo Dave's tactic.( do a search for 'my winning tactic') This way you won't need brilliant strikers (I also had Torre in the 1st season. )

I played Keogh in the AMC role and he scored **** loads of goals. Also if you can get some of the Chelsea youngsters in on loan.

How did you raise 450,000? Who did you sell

Depending on what year you are in, you could get Fernando Torres on a Bosman at the end of the 07/08 season, if you can afford his wages.

Look for the thread i started called good young players you should be able to get a few players from the list, some have prices that i signed them for.

I sold Billy Sharp. I had so many clubs pestering me I just had to let him go. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Oh yeah, just incase you think I'm crazy, I sold him for like 2 Million.

if you kept him and played him he would have been worth loads more.

I found a good young striker called Matt Harrold from Southend. He has scored 19 goals in 31 matches(a few of which were sub appearances) with an average rating of 7.55. And I only paid 75K for him.
