hey i have pc and of course play my Football Manager 2006 on the pc but its alot of pain sitting in here and playing for like 2 or 3 hrs after Uni , i mean one thing i wanted to ask does FM2006 work with Xbox or is it just purchased for XBOX 360 , and if if yes to both is xbox 360 worth buying becuase im getting tired of the pc
The game will only work on an Xbox 360 and not an original Xbox. As for whether the Xbox 360 is worth buying it all depends on what other games you like. March is a great month for the console with Fight Night Round 3, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Burnout Revenge and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion all being released. Future FM games will arrive on the console too.
The question is do you intend to only play FM on the console? If the answer is yes then it's difficult to recommend. However if you intend to buy other games at some point then I'd say go for it.
Just remember FM needs the hard drive so if you can only purchase the Xbox 360 Core pack (the one that's £209) you'll need to payout for the hard drive too (£69.99). If you can get hold of the Premium pack (£279.99) you'll not only get the hard drive included but also the wireless controller (instead of the wired one you get in the Core pack) which great as it means you don't have a 9 foot cable draping itself all over the floor. The controllers are excellent by the way (and the wired one can even be used on the PC).
well i have been to many sites example www.game.uk.com in there xbox360 are quite expensive to what your saying as you said i can get hard drive for £279.99 but do you know in what stores i can get it for in that price where ever i go its over £300 pounds for some reason
They have the premium in stock for £279.99 which will give you everything (console, hard drive and wireless controller) that you need to play FM in comfort.
well they wont give wiresless controller or all the premium stuff , btw how does 360 connect with internet ? usb port or what i mean if i need to update my fm2006 through 360 how is it possible?
The Xbox 360 comes with a standard ethernet port. You've basically got a couple of options for getting it online. You can either purchase the official wireless adapter or use a wireless bridge. Both of these require a wireless access point in your home. You can also use a straight ethernet cable and connect the console to a hub or router.
I haven't purchased the official wireless adapter but I do use the other methods and both work just as well.
