just wanting to know benefits of this version over the pc version basicly, heard some people say that the 2d match is awful looking sprites to big, just need convincing any help much appreciated

The actual core game is the same. The only differences are some of the screens have had to be redesigned to fit onto a standard television and HDTV displays. There is obviously a different navigational system as well because the game is operated via the Xbox 360 controlller. The 360 version does have one or two bits and pieces that the PC game doesn't, such as the "spider" diagram on player profiles as well as the Online functionality intended for Xbox Live.

ans seeing your friends play it makes me think i should just get, great pc game with live functions :cool:

Keep in mind that the Match View is subjective. It's not going to look it's best on a standard 14 inch television but the good thing is, it's still playable on such screens because we've done a lot of work to ensure that's the case. The Achievements are also great fun to tackle as well and they're also unique to the Xbox 360 version.

You do get to manauly do it too, which is cool.

There's also the Live side of things where you can play against your friends and finally decide whose team is the best!

bought it today my hartlepool career game is on hold (pc version) for the moment.

I had zero interest in getting an Xbox 360 until I found out earlier today that FM2006 is one of the games available. A couple of questions....

1) Do SI plan to release future FM games on the 360?

2) Is the 360 powerful enough to run future FM games that will be released in the next couple of years i.e. not scaled back PC versions?

1) That's the plan.

2) The 360 hardware is extremely powerful and will be able to run our games no problem over the next couple of years. You'll probably find it runs faster than what you've experienced on the PC thanks to the three cores it uses, so it processes matches quite quickly! We have no plans to release 'scaled back' versions on the 360, we want it to be the full experience with no cut backs.
