For some reason Football Manager is tempremental when it comes to saving. It loads and plays fine, but when I come to save my game it often says 'game could not be saved' when the 'save bar' has reached the end and then either lets me carry on playing or it freezes.
I've already swapped discs and I thought that did the trick as it worked fine for a while, but then the problem returned. Oblivion works perfectly well in all aspects so I'm hoping it's not a problem with my xbox 360 itself
Has anyone else come across this or got any ideas what the problem could be?
Has anyone got any ideas? I essentially can't play the game and because it's Easter weekend all the phonelines are unmanned.
I just can't really explain the fault - it would appear that the disc isn't at fault because I've already swapped but my other game works perfectly fine.
Please, I am rather desperate as my life is incredibly empty and I need this game to fill it, has anyone *any* suggestions?
allmatthew: What do you mean by "swapped discs"? Do you mean you went back to the shop and exchanged it for another? This isn't something we've experienced during testing so it's a little bit on the unusual side, especially as it has saved at certain points.
Can you let us know what leagues you're playing and as what team?
crazy gooner: Yeah, I've plenty of space. The 360 is 2 weeks old (today!) and it says I've 13gb free.
Neil: yes, I did go back to the shop and exchanged it for another one.
I've tried starting the game with a variety of leagues, but predominantly its been:
England - Premiership to League 2
Spain - top two divisions
Italy - Serie A and B
Germany - Top Two divisions (coming to 10 leagues in total)
And I've been managing Newcastle and putting Barnsley as my favourite team.
As a slight update, I've also found that when it said it had saved a game and then a few screens later frozen on me, when I've tried to load that game, it came back with the message 'game could not be loaded'.
I think the only thing left for me to try is to borrow a friend's memory card, copy my Oblivion save to that, format my harddrive and try it all again.
