I have purchased the 360 version too so I could see the difference. Both versions are the same except I think the AI on the xbox version is better. There doesn't seem to be the same defensive errors like there are on the PC version.

I like it a lot

Yep I'm down with it, have both PC and XBOX 360 versions, dont have a problem with the match display (and no i dont have a hdtv) and i mastered the controls after about 1 hour of playing. Only gripe is that the player database is a bit small, all the top foreign players but not many of the cheap bargains from africa, south america, eastern europe etc. Would have been nice to have an option to up the database size even if it compromised the speed a bit. As I said though overall i'm well impressed. Oh yeah one final thing, anyone know why the bundesliga team names are messed up (gelsenkirchen instead of Schalke 04 etc)?

Lovin' the game...

but if i could change something, just one thing i'd bring in a mouse.

Not a mouse as in hardware but on the screen using the analogue sticks. Just like the inernet explorer on the PSP. Make the 'A' and 'B' buttons do the right and left mouse buttons.

Make it exactly the same as the PC version but with 360 hardware

Similar to what they've done with Call of Duty 2. I don't know if this would be possible but i'd certainly like it.

Oh.... and if SIgames could provide a 42' HDTV free with each copy of FM that'd be nice

If you remember, CM 01/02 and CM 02/03 on the xbox used a mouse style control method using the thumbsticks!

IMO it's much easier and more like all the other Xbox 360 games out there to use the system we are using.

This is only the first version of such a system in our game engine and may take a bit of time to get used to but it's best suited to a console game. It's very fiddly to try and move a cursor using the analogue stick, especially in a game where you might play for long sessions at a time.

True, true.

Just an idea.

I'm use to constant analogue stick usage through CoD2 so it wouldn't be any different lol.

They can be fiddly as far as precision goes too. I'm not bothered in all honesty. Just throwin it out there

Yeah, I'd like to see a cursor based skin to be in the next version because its quite obvious that some people cannot adjust to the new layout.

On a personal note, I'm finding it's getting better all the time using it. It's nice to finally play a 360 game (or FM game for that matter) slouched down on the sofa.

Rahmus - people will adjust, and we'll look at tweaking from that point based on feedback.

I can still remember the outcry over the changes of interface for CM3, CM4 and FM - as soon as people were used it it, they tended to acknowledge that they were better systems than before.

That's not saying that the X360 system is perfect, because it's not. But it's much much better than the system on CM01/02 and CM02/03 on Xbox

Well Im a big fan of the PC versions of cm/FM as we all are and I got the 360 version but did have doubts to wither they could pull it off.I've never liked any management game on a console thus far but I can't believe just how good and well they have adapted the buttons etc.

At first I was a little lost but it didn't take long to sort it out.You can see what SI have did there wich I was impressed with.

Also Someone said about the AI being better, well i actually think this is a stad out thing for me.I hae just finished my first season with Genoa and have loved every mo of it.

One slight draw back is I started the game with just the Italian leagues on the go.And have found the database to be smaller. Some players are not there. But thats small stuff..As the data base is still miles big enough lol..

I'm from PROEVONETWORK.COM wich is a Pro evo site for the 360/xbox and we have set up a league for FM aswell..We are just going to play a season at a time and import our teams after each season is complete and have a tourney

Oh and to the mouse thing, Microsoft dont even have a mouse out for the 360 yet.

The USB keyboard is very handy though, that was the first thing I bought when I got FM.

I second that. The PC version has screen size going for it over my 17 inch standard TV, the pitch and fonts look better and a couple of features I never used anyway (more than 10 leagues that would've comatised my PC, split-screen view that just screwed up my eyes anyway, extra skins I never used, etc.). That's it.

The mouse would've been nice to use, but to be honest the pad/'legend' system works just as fast once you get used to it. The most important factor for me is speed, my PC isn't bad at all, but the 360 version whups it for processing speed. I've found a new format for it for sure.
