Default Fifa Football Manager 2008

Its out and it got a pretty decent review over at Gamespot - a 7.5

http://au.gamespot.com/pc/sports/fif...ml?sid=6183413

I'm actually seriously contemplating on getting it. Just wondering if anyone here has played it and what are your thoughts on it and is it worth getting.

Cheers

I'm guessing he bought FM08 and plays it, since he is posting on this forum. What's wrong about asking a bunch of other people who have bought and played FM08 if they'd ever played this Fifa game. He just wants to see if anyone else who plays FM08 also enjoys this Fifa Manager game, I see no harm in that. If he bought FM08, he is entitled to the right to post on an FM08 forum.

Feel free to buy both, it's good to have an alternative once in a while.

Hi I just read a review on gamespot. Sounds like fifa manager 08 is good, almost very good.
I am a devoted Football manager fan, an i will always buy the latest game out. but with the new fifa manager out and looking good, with all those licences and 3d graphics, its hard not to be tempted.
Maybe its time sega and SI take notice of their rivals. How much longer will they wait before they let FM go the way of CM. FM08 is good but made better with the patch. and with some useful graphic fixes it can look really good to, but come on sega and SI lets start thinking 3D graphics, because i really do think it is the future of Footy manager games, and next year fifa manager might just beat footballmanager to the top spot.

we won't see 3d ME in FM for quite some time yet. and I agree with that. imagine how many bugs would there be!! I can't see any 3d ME being superior to 2d, at this time.

3d graphics really aren't the way forward. Have you ever played the LMA series? The 3d graphics on that consisted of the same goal scoring motions so that it was obvious who was goin to score and at what point. I feel that the 2d match engine is a lot more versatile and I prefer it to a 3d style, with generic player faces, generic animations and, after a period of time, repetitive animation.
