Default How are the regens?

Are the regens any good in 8.0.1? In other words, can we start long term satisfyising games with the patch?

I downloaded a save game from 2032 and here's some of the best players in their positions in the game:

Goalkeeper: Ertan
Centre Back: Carvalho
Central Mid: Oguzhan
Winger: Koné
Striker: Knapen

The best are still pretty good. But as some have reported, the talent isn't quite what it was in FM07.

To be honest, that's good. Regens have been far too good in past FM games, leading to boring games in the future where a great team is constantly going to draw against all the other great teams in the league, making for boring games.

The problem know though seems that it has gone the other way, in that there aren't enough quality regens. The thread that Sifrow has linked to shows an experiment which shoes the development of youth players is causing the number of quality players dropping from what was available at the start of the database.

I downloaded the game today after finding the link in the thread that sifrow posted a link to. I wanted to see the quality of regens and sadly the only active league is Poland. But I'm giving it a go.
