how come players are so dumb on the pitch when it comes to shooting rooney had 17 shots 15 on target and still doesnt get a goal ive tried all different tactics doesnt change and that game i ended up losing to birmingham and they were playing there reserve keeper this is always happeneing im just about to give up on the game until this is fixed

How clear cut are the chances? What tempo are you playin with? What mentality is Rooney set on?

he had about 5 or 6 1 on 1 with the keeper and it just went straight at the keeper and i play slow tem[o short passing and high creating freedom some games i end up scoring 5-6 goals and sometimes they just cant shoot it looks like they are aiming at the keeper all the time

These chances could perhaps be more scrappy then they look. Maybe try getting the ball to his feet or bring the midfield up to support him more. Do you play him alone up front?

i play very attacking. two up front usually rooney and aguero. pato and tevez back up

and 3 attacking mids

Probably best trying the tactics forum as im no genius in that area. However you may just want to look at his instructions to see if you can figure out why he may be rushing/wasting these chances.

That will be why. If you play ultra attacking with unrealistic formations you're more likely to get unrealistic outcomes.

In real life teams rarely play ultra attacking, quick football. The best teams generally look to play measured possession football mixed with the odd speedy counter attack.

That said, the number of one-on-one chances being created by certain tactics is a known issue and is being looked at by SI.
In your case though I think your tactic is causing you to create too many rushed chances that look clear-cut, but actually aren't.
Slow down the tempo and look to keep possession more rather than playing ultra attacking.

I agree, rarely see goals scored on ultra attacking mentality as players seem to rush their chances.
