I'm having problems with corners.

I like the near post with a good heder to flick on routine.

But the players are just ignoring the instructions.

The taker is taking to the near post, but ALL the players are gathered around the far post.

I've tried selecting several different players as 'near post flick on' but none of them will go over!

I've not got a problem getting players to stand at the near post but there is a known issue where the player who is at the near post will always just head the ball miles wide when it comes to him (happens to both human and AI controlled teams).

So if I were you I'd abandon the near post routine completely as it no longer works at all.

But in FM06, there was an exploit which allowed the user to put everybody in one spot (generally, we put everyone on the far post) except one player outside the box, and kicked the corner to him. You'd score 1-2 corner hoals/game. SI nerfed this exploit in '07, saying any corner instruction with more than 3 players assigned to it would be placed Forward. I'm guessing, given your lack of information, this might be the problem.

No it's just purely them not obeying my instructions.

I've got ome players forward, some back. Most on the back post and one (supposedly) at the front.

But he never goes there!
