Players with high adaptability will learn a new position quicker and are more likely to retain that position once taken off training for it. But no one can ever gain a Natural rating for a learned position. It just wouldn't make sense ... it's a learned position, after all. Not one they are naturally equipped to play.

if u wanna retrain players to new position it helps to play them in the new pos and speeds up untill they reach accompiched status.
they get a max score of 18 out of 20 in a new posistion.

how long it takes depends on some mental stats and how u play him.

The younger the player and the higher the mental stats will determine how quick the player learns the position. Also if your coaches have a high tactical knowledge rating this will speed things up as well.

I always do this, I often retrain players because you can never have enough cover and it gives you more options on the bench

Isn't that versatility? Adaptability is for moving to a new country, club etc IIRC. Might also be for a new style of play but learning positions definitely needs versatility.
