Im enjoying my games on the original version, but I have noticed flaws in it which the patch claims to fix, yet I have also heard things about it which i feel might make me enjoy the game less,
So I'm only willing to download it if it can be removed easily if the latter does occur.

I have a MAC by the way in case that means different procedures need to be taken.

Not really easily, you would probably have to do a clean reinstall.

If you install the patch the only way to remove it is a complete reinstall of the game. You will not be able to continue a saved game that has been played with the patch if you take the patch off.

If you consider trying it I would suggest making a backup of your save somewhere safe that you can go back to play on if you don't like the patch. I prefere the patched game all the way but there are also those that seem to think the patch is a tool of satan.
