Two problems i'm having with this game, and have also had threw all the other games in the series but have just put up with. The first is.. Once the opposition gets a player sent off, you just feel that you are destined to lose... And you do. Is this just a stupid flaw of the game where, its just trying to play on the old cliche of a team with ten men are harder to play against, and has just been taking to far? Or are there certain tactic changes i should be doing to counter this?
My second problem is what i call, 'the random humping'. no matter how good form my team are in, irrelevant of injuries or anything of the kind, every once in a while i will get completely annihilated eg, 3-0 wigan.... when i'm sitting top of the league... wondering what went wrong, i check out the match stats, n yes, i have dominated them in every area, and yes they have had roughly 6 shots I understand that you cant win them all, and the game may be trying to implement that, and so, you have to lose time, but it just is'nt realistic to get hammered by score-lines like that 3-4 times a season.

Your first problem doesn't exist. I've played two games where the opposition has had players sent off and won both of them, I made no tactical changes. You're just unlucky, I guess.

The second is something that I don't experience either, I see many complaining that this happens but I've never had it and I'm in season 2025/2026.

When the opposition gets a player sent off, pause the game and check their formation.

Then, do the following:

Lets say that the opposition is playing 442 with wingers, and one of their wingers got sent off (or they moved a winger to another position). If the right winger got sent of, you should focus your passing on the left side only, use a left side arrow on your left striker (or the lone striker), tell the goalkeeper to pass the ball to your left full back, and tell the full back to often run forward.

That way you will have 3 players on the left side, and they will defend with only one player which will mean that you will create some chances that will sooner or later get your team to score.

Eventually, the AI will fill the gap and start playing 4-4-1, and when he does that, you can revert to your original instructions.

It's all about exploiting the position which was left empty after the red card.

My Championship side beat ManU in FA Cup 6th round replay because they had a red card in the 85th minute...the AI stayed aggressive despite being a man down, still trying to break the 1-1 deadlock. I went aggressive, and of the five shots my guys managed, one of them went in.

I was happy. They were gonna kill me in the penalties... lost the next round to Arsenal, though.
