You may have seen the thread posted by betterspud a while back about the possibility of starting up a fanzine for FM...
...well, the first issue is very nearly done, so I thought a quick update might be in order.
It should be available sometime between now and Christmas. In true SI style, the exact date is not written in stone, so a range of 14 days should cover it - although you can be fairly sure it won't be the next 24 hours.
Given that this was first suggested only five or six weeks ago I'm quite staggered that we have around 25 pages worth of material, covering skins, tactics, stories, challenges and more. It's a really good range of material.
When you consider the time taken to get people on board, agree layout and design, sort out some kind of process and numerous other tasks, I think that is pretty good, so well done to betterspud for seeing the idea through.
As things stand we only have five people on board. We could still do with a few more writers for the coming months to share the burden and maybe add a few more pages. In particular I think the fanzine is very British at the moment, so an alternative perspective would be more than welcome.
Anway, I'm really looking forward to it and I hope you all find it a good read.

Sounds great, where will it be available?
It will be downloadable in pdf form. I'm not sure where exactly - it's not really my department and I didn't think to ask as my copy arrives in my inbox to be reviewed!
We'll let everyone know the location between now and the release date (probably on the release date ).

Once we have tied up the loose ends, we'll be making the file available from as many fansites as possible.
We'll keep you updated as the release gets closer and will make sure that you know where you can grab a copy!
If anyone would like to get involved or has a site capable of hosting our fanzine, please feel free to drop us a line at fmfanzine@ti scali.co.uk
