When batching a photo, or a series of, the batched file/s are not being saved into the original folder. How do i fix this ?

We could use more details as to what "batch" task you have in mind and which version Photoshop you have.

If you are trying to rename multiple files (photos) in a folder or into another folder, you might want to do this using Bridge (I have Bridge CS2, Mac OS 9.3.)
(Bridge) ->Tools -> Batch Rename
It's easier for me this way.

PS7, batching a whole folder....I. E. sharpening a whole folder, using browse, select all, batch.........after running the batch, none of the files in the original folder have been effected.............and whats interesting is that i have the same version of PS on my other two PC's and the batch works fine on them...........yet on this particular PC, it doesn't..............

Hm... Try this:
1. File - Automate - Batch.
2. In Destination choose Folder.
3. Click Choose button and select folder you want.
