Find where it says:

in global panels.xml. Change the left to right.

However, the logos then cover the date up. and the title text looks too far right. Everything else is fine though.

Some laptops only do something like 1280x800 so they aren't high enough to do the 768 + the actual program window. It might be an idea to maximise the FM window, even if it looks max already, sometimes there is an extra few pixels to play with.

Only main other option is to play fullscreen really. If it looks rubbish on a widescreen laptop you can force FM to a different fullscreen resolution using --fullscreen_height= and --fullscreen_width= (I think). Try looking in the SI Base section of this site for this info.

How do you change the attribute colours? I edited them in the fm colours file but it hasn't worked?

This is a seriously beautiful skin, the colours are first class, I just love the whole thing.

It just needs me to get use to the match graphics on the right hand side.

May I suggest the following,
Since I started using a widescreen laptop some months ago I've placed my windows taskbar at the right of the screen. Most of the times I also even click on the 'auto-hide the taskbar' checkbox property of it. Try 'auto-hide', I have the same command to start the game as you. Hope it helps.
