It maybe due to the fmf file problem, or it maybe due to the complexity of the game, but I haven't yet found a new skin for FM08 that I'm happy with. I have Black-In2 and Steklo which are probably the two best on offer at the moment, but neither has the polish of a number of FM07 skins (no offence intended to their creators as they are good work, they just miss 'something'). As I have neither the fmf extractor nor the graphical/xml skills to build a skin myself I was wondering what would happen if I tried to use a skin from FM07. I was on the verge of attempting it when I figured it may be better to ask first rather than risk wrecking the game.
So, does anyone have any idea what would happen? IIRC FM05/06/07 skins were fairly interchangeable but FM08 seems to be quite different and has a number of new screens.
