Could somebody tell me how you actually create skins? I have searched but every topic no-one answers. Please may someone help

Can't anyone help? I am simply looking for what to do, I am someone who will go to the depths to actually work it out, but need somewhere to start. I know about Seafire's guide on 'sortitoutsi.net' but it is only for FM07 and doesn't work for FM08 when I tried.

Any help, and if Seafire's guide should work then my problem is that when I paste the folder 'recondite' in 'skins' it does not give me the option when i go to 'Preferences -> Display & Sound' to choose the skin as it is not there. If you can help, then thanks a lot
