change the year on the clock in the game?

ie, jump it forward so its 2007 instead of 2006 when you start the game?

i don't mind if competitions like the world cup fall on the wrong year, and i cant think of anything else that would be drastically changed by it, just simply for aesthetics.

...or am i really going to have to just buy fm08?

nope, its not possible to time travel on fm

you will have to get fm08. it will be worth doing anyway due to the new features :thup:

thanks for the reply, but sorta not what i mean... i do the thing of "going on holiday" til the game catches up with real time. but i mean just a case of changing the code to state the year differently?

i realise changing code might be prohibited by SI, and if so no problem.

Been disscussed many times before and not possible. It is hardcoded into the game. And like you said, chaning the code would be illegal.
