I am hoping to make a new cross-platform open source real time data editor for FM07/08 which will hopefully be better than FMM!

I have enough C++ knowledge to do it (I think) but I just need to find out how to connect to the database in the fist place.

I always thought FMM was a process memory editor, but specific to Football Manager.

I'm pretty sure FMM is a process memory editor. I'm not sure about connecting to DB...

What you can do is find the source code for another process editor. Like Art Money. That should give you clues to how you can attack your program to FM.

So basically I need to find the hex-addresses of the FM data in the RAM.

TBH, I have no idea how to do that!

Try and get an open source Process editor. It will show you how it attaches it's self to what ever the selected process is.
