I made a 22 year old player and added a player history that had him coming up through the club since 1999, but it does not recognize him as a home grown player when registering for European competition. Any ideas on how to fix this?

For a player to be "Home Grown" he has to of played in that country for 4 years before he reaches 21 years old i think or something like that, anyway all you have to do is give your player a history, go back on the editor and add some seasons (about 5 or 6 to be safe) he doesnt have to of played any matches for your club, he just has to have been there.

There is HG (at your club) - 4 reqiured by second season.
And HG (National) - total of 8 required by second season. Obviously, your 4 HG (Club) are included. So basically you need 4 of each.
HG (National) must have played in England for 3 years between the age of 15-21 years.

I have done the same as you the editor - only to find he's not recognised as HG! So I had two options; In the editor I selected a couple of quality 18-year-olds and transferred them to my club then loaned them out for 3 years - so they will qualify as national HG in the future. Secondly, I increased the age (and CA optional) of a young HG reserve/younster to qualify as Club HG.

I also found in a previous game that by changing a squad player's nationality to English and reducing his age to 19/20 he appeared as a Club HG!
