Hello
I have a question if there is any way to stop swedish clubs from buying so many foreign players.
Currently playing in Sweden all the clubs are buying a lot of foreign players(from argentine, brazil, algeria, germany and so on), and it's not realistic(being from sweden I know)
So my question is is there any way to stop this?
I would rather have the clubs using their own products who now are playing for the reserves rather than buying a lot of old foreign players.
Pardon me for any wrong I might have done and for my english.
In real life there is a limit for only 3 non-eu players in Sweden. From summer 2008 that rule will be taken away, and any club can buy as many foreigners they want.
Yes I know that, that's not the thing disturbing me. It's the fact that the clubs are buying a lot of foreign players. They aren't doing that in real life(exceptions exists of course) but on FM they buy every one coming in their way.
For exampel: IFK Göteborg got in real life, 3 foreign players I belive(maybe 4). In year 2008 on my game they got 13. Same thing with a lot of other teams.

Yes but IRL when the foreigner rules is removed this could happen...
I know that. But IRL today it does not happen, and the old rule with only 3 non eu players is still in the game, the problem is not only non eu players but also eu players.
It's the unrealistic amount of foreigners in the game before this new rule that bothers me, same thing in FM06 where Swedish Premier Division(allsvenskan) became some sort of dump for south american players. It was sorted out for 07 but it seems to be back now on 08 but with players from all over the globe.
I agree it does sound a little unrealistic, no body leaves a temperate or tropical zone to move to a cold zone unless the money is immense or the standard will imrpove their career. The lack of success in Euro competition for Swedish teams means that this is just not the case IRL. Maybe you could try dropping the league reputation or club reputation's a little bit to make their clubs less attractive to these south americans to which you refer.
You could try playing with a small database but with all Swedish players retained, that'll make it happen less if you're that disgusted with the idea of people from other countries playing football
