I cant work out where im going wrong with this tactic, i dont create enough upfront, and my defence is frail. Ive tried to create by reading rashidi1 posts but i just cant get the best out of my team.
despite possesstion i got hammered, i never looked a threat, and i dont want to lose my league position.

that depends mate. it could be anumber of things. YOu do know that you can't simply make a tactic, leave it and expect it to work flawlessly though right? It needs to be constantly tweaked throughout the game.
Creative Freedom
The first problem i noticed straight away was the creative freedom settings. They are way too high. The higher the creative freedom, the less likely it is that your players will adhere to your instructions, thus if you make it too high, for too many players, theres no point even making a tactic. At most, you should only have one player with creative freedom that high (if that) and that player should be either a playmaker or a targetman. If you want players to listen to your instructions its propbably best to set the creative freedom to normal.
AMC
To combat yor defensive problems i would suggest you give your AMC a barrow pointing to CM so that he helps out with the defending once and a while. and perhaps your wingers, though doing this might make them less of an attacking threat so its up to you.
DMC
His instructions are completely wrong. You've got to ask yourselve the question "what do i want from a DMC?". I'm sure youd answer that you'd want him to break up attacks, and mop up any sticky situations at the back right?
To do this you need to first ensure that he is in the right place to do this and that is not going to happen if he is trying to close down everyone in sight. You need to lower his closing down instrucions alot perhaps even "normal" would suffice.
2ndly, as the other CM is busy running havoc in the opposition area it is the job of the DMC to control the midfield in his absence. He doesn't need to help out with the attacking, his sole priority should be to defend. I reccommend you set his FWR's to "none" aswell as his dribbling for that matter. Set his passing to short to ensure that he never loses possession and make his mentality a little more defence minded (thought not entirely)
BC
There isn't too much worng with your CB's though they should be man marking rather than zonal
FB
It is possible that they are making forward runs such that they are leaving you exposed at the back. Get them to cross from deep and set FWR's to mixed, or even more stable - "none"
Wingers
There isn't much wrong with your winger settings, though i'm sure if you took the fwr's bar down a notch you'll see defensive improvements

I can't see your team instructions so i cant really comment on them. What i no for certain though is that creative freedom is much too high

Thanks for this post! I readed it and it really helpt me, I was making the same mistakes as Pie head.
Especially my DM stands much better now, great advice there :thup:
